Who processes your data
De Vastgoedmarkt (https://devastgoedmarkt.be) is the controller for the processing of personal data on this platform. You can send any questions to info@devastgoedmarkt.be.
What data we process
Account: name, email address, phone number, account type and the name of your agency or business, plus an encrypted version of your password. Your password itself is never stored.
Properties: the details and photos you enter for a property, together with the (approximate) map position of the address.
Enquiries: the name, email address, phone number and message you send via a contact form, and the property the enquiry is about.
Usage: the number of views of a property page is counted without recording who viewed it.
Payments: for a paid listing, our payment partner Stripe processes your payment details. We only store the amount, the status and a reference to the payment.
What we use it for
To run your account, publish properties, deliver enquiries to the right advertiser and protect the platform against abuse.
A contact request for a property is sent to the advertiser of that property; an estate agent request is sent to the platform administrators, who pass it on to suitable agents.
Cookies and local storage
We only use functional cookies: dvm_session to keep you signed in and taal to remember your language choice. Favourites are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to us. There are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Retention periods
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Enquiries are kept for up to two years after receipt. Sessions expire after 30 days. You can have your account and properties deleted by sending a request to info@devastgoedmarkt.be.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and you can object to processing. Send your request to info@devastgoedmarkt.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Processors and transfers
We work with hosting providers in the European Union, OpenStreetMap (map display and address lookup), Stripe (payments) and an email service for notifications. Data processing agreements or equivalent arrangements are in place with these parties.
